omega-3 is the family of fats your brain, eyes and heart actually run on, and dha and epa are the two that matter most. we take ours from algae, the original source fish get theirs from, so there's no fishy taste and no marine heavy metals to screen for. dha supports normal brain function and vision, and with epa, normal heart function, at the recommended daily intake. the only real choice is how much epa you want alongside the dha.
all three are algae-sourced and plant-derived. the difference is the fatty acids and the format.
* dha supports normal brain and vision function; dha and epa support normal heart function, at the recommended daily intake.

the source
fish don't make omega-3. they get it from the algae they eat, and it builds up the food chain along with whatever else is in the water. we skip the fish and grow the algae, so there's no marine supply chain and no heavy metals to screen out.
third-party tested every batch. plant-derived, always.
both are long-chain omega-3s. dha is the structural one, the omega-3 the brain and eyes mostly run on, and the one to prioritise in pregnancy. epa works alongside it and is the one linked to normal heart function. our dha capsule is a clean daily foundation; our dha+epa capsule adds epa for fuller everyday cover. the table above sets them side by side.
the dha capsule gives 400mg dha a day; the dha+epa capsule gives 500mg dha and epa a day (at least 350mg dha and 100mg epa), both from two small capsules with a meal, at any time of day. the kids drops are dosed by age with a dropper. dha supports normal brain and vision function, and dha and epa support normal heart function, at these daily amounts.
no. algae is the original source, not fish, so there's no fishy taste to begin with. the dha capsules are enteric-coated to dissolve in the gut rather than the stomach, which is what usually causes fishy burps. the kids drops are naturally orange-flavoured.
yes. dha is one of the nutrients that matters most here: a mother's dha intake contributes to the normal brain and eye development of the baby, with 200mg of dha a day on top of the usual adult intake. the dha capsule is a simple way to cover that. as always, check with your midwife or gp first.
the kids omega-3 drops are made for children aged 3 months to 10 years, dosed by age with a dropper: 1ml a day for 3 to 24 months, and 2.5ml a day for 2 to 10 years. we don't recommend the adult capsules for young children, as a whole capsule is a choking risk.
fish don't make omega-3; they get it from the algae they eat, along with whatever else is in the water. we grow the algae and skip the fish, so there's no marine supply chain and no heavy metals to screen out. flaxseed gives ala, a short-chain omega-3 the body converts into dha and epa only slowly and in small amounts, which is why we go straight to the source.
our algae is grown in purified water rather than the open sea, so it's free from ocean heavy metals. every product is non-gmo, registered with the vegan society, and batch-tested. plant-derived, always.
