    health benefits

    • skin elasticity & hydration

Collagen types I & III are key structural proteins that help maintain skin elasticity and hydration. As we age, natural collagen production declines, leading to wrinkles and sagging skin.

      • Types I & III collagen, combined with hyaluronic acid, enhances skin elasticity, making it appear firmer and more youthful.
      • Collagen and vitamin C work together to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by supporting the skin’s natural structure and boosting collagen production.
      • Hyaluronic acid significantly increases moisture retention in the skin, leading to a more hydrated and glowing complexion.
      • Collagen peptides, along with vitamin C, aid in the repair and regeneration of skin tissues, promoting a smoother and healthier appearance.
      • Vitamin C acts as a powerful antioxidant, protecting the skin from free radical damage and environmental stressors.
    • hair strength & structure

Collagen types I & III play a vital role in maintaining hair strength and elasticity, contributing to overall hair health and growth. Vitamin C supports collagen synthesis, while hyaluronic acid improves scalp hydration.

      • Collagen, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid strengthen hair by supporting the structure of hair follicles, reducing breakage and split ends.
      • Types I & III collagen, along with vitamin C, provide the necessary amino acids and nutrients that contribute to the production of keratin, essential for hair growth.
      • Regular intake of collagen peptides can improve hair thickness, while hyaluronic acid ensures a well-hydrated scalp.
      • Collagen and hyaluronic acid help reduce hair thinning by maintaining the health of the scalp and hair follicles, creating an optimal environment for hair growth.
    • nail strength & growth

Collagen types I & III are crucial for nail strength and growth, preventing brittleness and promoting healthier nails. Vitamin C supports collagen formation, while hyaluronic acid aids in hydration.

      • Collagen, vitamin C,and hyaluronic acid can work together to improve nail strength, reducing brittleness and breakage.
      • Collagen and vitamin C provide essential nutrients that support nail growth, resulting in longer and healthier nails.
      • Regular collagen and hyaluronic acid intake can enhance the overall appearance of nails, making them look smoother and shinier.
      • Collagen, supported by vitamin C and hyaluronic acid, helps to prevent peeling and splitting by improving the integrity and resilience of nails.
    • flexibility & mobility

Collagen types I & III are integral components of joint cartilage, providing structure and strength to joints, and aiding in their flexibility and mobility. Hyaluronic acid lubricates joints, while vitamin C supports collagen synthesis and repair.

      • These collagen types, along with hyaluronic acid, can help maintain joint health by providing the necessary building blocks for cartilage repair and regeneration.
      • Can potentially alleviate joint pain and stiffness, particularly in conditions like osteoarthritis.
      • Collagen helps enhance joint mobility by supporting the structural integrity of joint tissues, while hyaluronic acid ensures joints are well-lubricated.
      • Collagen and vitamin C can help prevent the breakdown of cartilage, thus supporting long-term joint health.

    collagen from plants?

Collagen is one of the most important proteins in the body. In fact, up to 80% of our skin is made up of collagen, playing a crucial role in its strength and elasticity.

Unfortunately, the body's natural collagen production starts to decrease after the age of 25, leading to visible signs of ageing such as wrinkles, sagging skin, and joint discomfort. This is where a collagen supplement can help replenish our collagen stores and keep us looking and feeling great.

Traditionally, collagen is found only in animal tissue. However, thanks to cutting-edge science and a special blend of digestive enzymes, we're able to build collagen peptides from plant sources.

    frequently asked questions

Collagen is a vital protein found throughout the body, making up a significant portion of our skin, hair, nails, bones, and connective tissues. It provides structural support, strength, and elasticity to various tissues, playing a crucial role in maintaining overall health and vitality.

    • It’s made from clean plant sources instead of the waste parts of animals )mostly hides of cattle or fish skin).
    • The molecular weight is up to 5 times lower than most bovine and marine collagen products, making it much easier for your body to absorb.
    • Our products are ethically produced with no contribution to deforestation or heavy metal contamination, unlike some animal-based collagens.
    • It is flavourless and dissolves easily into any drink without clumping.

Traditionally, collagen is found in animal tissues. However, advancements in science have enabled us to create collagen peptides from plant sources, offering a sustainable and ethical alternative.

These plant-based peptides are designed to be highly absorbable and effective.

The process can be broadly broken down as follows:

    1. Combining Vegetable Extracts: We start by combining multiple upcycled vegetable extracts to create a concentrated ‘soup’ rich in amino acids and proteins. These nutrients serve as the building blocks for our collagen peptides.
    2. Enzymatic Digestion: In a precisely controlled environment, both in terms of heat and pH, we introduce a unique blend of fruit-derived enzymes. These enzymes facilitate the enzymatic digestion process, building collagen peptides from the amino acids.
    3. Filtration and Enrichment: After filtering and drying the collagen peptides, we enhance our formula by adding Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C, resulting in our final product - Kind Collagen!

Hydrolysed peptides are collagen molecules that have been broken down into smaller, more digestible pieces, making them easier for your body to absorb and use effectively.

This process is like ‘unchaining’ the long protein strands into smaller ‘peptides,’ making them more bioactive and readily absorbable to build important tissues like skin, bones, and connective tissue.

Currently, we offer collagen as an unflavoured powder so it’s easy to mix into your favourite drinks. We are exploring options too.

You can expect approximately 8000 mg (8g) of collagen in each serving.

Mix one 8g serving (one scoop or approx. 3 teaspoons) into your favourite drink once a day, at any time that suits your routine.

A daily 8g serving provides 30 servings per container.

We recommend one 8g serving per day.

It’s beneficial to start taking collagen in your mid-twenties when the body’s natural collagen production begins to decline. However, it can be started at any age to support skin, hair, nails, and joint health.

While collagen is generally safe, it’s best to stick to the recommended dosage of 8g per day. Taking excessive amounts is not necessary and won’t provide additional benefits, unless you've been specifically advised to do so by a healthcare professional.

Vitamin C: Critical for your body to start making its own collagen.

Hyaluronic Acid: Helps retain moisture in the skin, leaving it plump and hydrated.

Yes, it’s 100% vegan and our formulation is approved by The Vegan Society for your peace of mind.

A clinical trial conducted over 8 weeks found the following results:

    • Skin: 53% reduction of wrinkles & fine lines, 21% improvement in skin elasticity, 22% improvement in skin hydration.
    • Hair: 47% reduction in hair fall, 50% improvement in hair growth, 21% improvement in hair thickness, 20% improvement in hair density.
    • Nails: Stronger and healthier nails.

However, you are likely to start seeing noticeable results sooner than 8 weeks.

Yes, collagen peptides remain effective and stable when added to hot food or drinks.

Collagen can be beneficial during menopause by helping to maintain skin elasticity, support joint health, and improve bone density, which are common concerns during this stage of life.

Yes, hydrolysed collagen peptides are designed to withstand stomach acid, ensuring they are effectively absorbed in the digestive tract.

Collagen molecules are too big to penetrate the epidermis, which is why you're unlikely to get the long term benefits of collagen from a topical cream.

Collagen peptides, however, are hydrolysed to be more easily absorbed when ingested.

Since there are no vegan sources of preformed collagen, most vegan collagen supplements are “collagen boosters” that don’t contain actual collagen.

They're usually multivitamins and botanicals that will hopefully help your body make its own collagen, but don't contain any collagen peptides or amino acids.

Kind Collagen contains actual collagen peptides derived from plants, making it a true plant-based collagen supplement.

While Kind Collagen is generally safe, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before starting any new supplement during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Collagen doesn’t get fully broken down into individual amino acids but into peptides, which are specific combinations of amino acids.

These peptides provide the body with what it specifically needs to build collagen and stimulate collagen production.

Hydroxyproline is an essential amino acid for signalling skin cells to produce more collagen.

Without Hydroxyproline, collagen supplements may just be broken down into amino acids and not necessarily reform into collagen.

    • It mixes into your favourite drinks without affecting the taste.
    • Avoids the need for added sugar or sweeteners.
    • Easier to incorporate into your daily routine.

A lower molecular weight (measured in Daltons) makes collagen peptides easier for your body to absorb.

Kind Collagen has a molecular weight up to 5 times lower than conventional bovine and marine collagen supplements.

Our collagen is made in a zero water wastage facility using upcycled raw plant-based materials.

    We use 100% plastic-free and easy-to-recycle packaging.

I have only been taking this for 3 weeks so perhaps too soon to price the full benefits. Having said that I have noticed that the fine lines on my face aren’t as noticeable so all good so far. Will report back after 8 weeks

Haven't seen any results yet, too early for that, but tastes fine

Easy to add to my morning shake, tastes fine, but too early (3 weeks drinking) to notice any differences - great to find a vegan option

    Plant based collagen

I’ve been waiting for a company to develop a product like this for a while and was intrigued to try it. This product dissolves in water faster than any other collagen product I’ve ever seen. It is almost tastless so it’s like drinking water and feels silky smooth so I enjoy drinking it. Too early to assess it’s impact on me physically, but encouraged that it will out perform other collagen products tried in the past.
